The “Airdyne AD6” is the middle of three fitness bikes from Schwinn – an exercise bike in which either the upper body alone or upper and lower body are trained at the same time. The training effect with Airdyne AD6 is achieved by the combination of cross trainer and exercise bikes.You ride on the fitness bike as if it were against air resistance, moving your arms and legs. The powerful drive belt enables a smooth and unlimited resistance: The higher the cadence, the stronger the resistance (Exponential enhancement).The feet find a firm hold in belted pedals.The height-adjustable extra-large seat is upholstered, the spiked fan also provides a soothing cooling effect for the workout. Optical centre of the Schwinn Airdyne AD6 is the console with the long, LCD display. It gives you significantly more information than the smaller AD2.Shown are the speed, the distance travelled, the time already trained, the calories burned, the force in watts applied at the current resistance level, the rounds per minute and the pulse. For measuring pulse rate you will need a chest strap (available as accessory) which make up its signals to the wireless heart rate monitoring device sent to the console, displaying heart beats per minute. Above the display, there is a mount for the water bottle attached.
